Drz 400 carb.

I have a 2000 drz400s with an fmf power core 4 and a power bomb header. It also has a small piece of the air box hole cut, the hole is cut about 1"x1" bigger and it has factory jetting. Motor has some popping on decel and im not sure where the fuel screw is currently cuz i've been adjusting it to...The FCR is a carb built to be fast and reliable, for all kinds of bike, but you have to re-jet. This has been made fairly easy on the FCR, so with some practice it should be an easy job. The DRZ E came with this carb, so the engine does well with it. The WR starts one push of the button no matter what temp, elevation, or if it’s been dropped, whereas I had a lot of carb trouble with my old DRZ in the 3 years I’ve owned it. It must be hung on the spring or it got turned in too tight at some point and the o-ring is mashed and that may be gripping it. Be careful as there is a spring, a tiny o-ring and a tiny flat washer that are part of the assembly.Have a DRZ400E in the shop, low km's, been sitting, not able to get it to stay running. Backfires through the inlet and stalls. Unable to get idle speed set properly, either too high or too low. As its a slide carb the idle adjuster changes the point at which the slide stops, further adjusting done with mixture screw to get correct idle speed.
