Machine shop said the cracks could be fixed but he knew of a head trhat had been checked out and ready to have valves put for $300.Both were 8060s I had $400 invested and the old head . I bought a cliking torque wrench at an Auto Value for $22 . response, a 450 lp head does wonders plus an lp manifold. A few other tricks and you can get 70 hp. Obviously an increase in hp decreases longevity, lve built several pullers and runners, these engines will hold together pretty well if you dont run too high an rpm, maybe 200 rpm above stock.
