The 1gig port should have been working, but it has to be activated by fidium support. I talked to 6 techs (all outsourced, no training probably), none of them understood the request. I had to fight to get a tech out to get the ONT replaced. The on-site tech said fidium support should've activated the 1gig port. The ONT would then be connected via RJ45 via Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a(preferably) into your router.
